The Gilded Butterfly

Born from a rough patch of endless ghosting, unpaid labor, and HR rejections, this shoot is a critique of a culture that expects us to be part of someone else’s dream.

Inspired by Shakespeare’s King Lear, the concept explores our transition from a naked, natural state to one coated in the superficial promises of the job market. 

This shoot documents the burnout of the hunt—the frustration of being dissected by recruiters and the realization that my worth is not a façade to be gilded by others.
