Dear Diary,
It’s been almost three years since I left Cider, and looking back, I’m overwhelmed by a sense of utter gratitude.
I still remember the 21-year-old girl who first stepped into this world during her senior year of college. The brand was barely three years old then—small enough to feel like a shared secret, but ambitious enough to be reaching for the world. What started as a content internship, fueled by the simple joy of storytelling, quickly evolved into a deep, breathless immersion into global merchandising strategy.
Those months were a beautiful, relentless blur. I lived a double life: a full-time strategist and a full-time student on the side. I moved from the pure magic of creating looks to understanding the invisible architecture that makes a brand resonate across borders. From the adrenaline of a campaign launch to the technical discipline of webpage optimization, I learned that a global dream isn’t just built on sparks of creativity, it’s sustained by the data that breathes life into them.
But beyond the strategy and the analytics, it was the people who made it a dream. Fenco, Ivy, Abby, George, Lucas... gosh, I miss them. I carry such deep thankfulness for my manager, my colleagues, the founders, and the friends who turned the office into a home.
There is a quiet poetry in where I am now—living here in Los Angeles, the very city where Cider was born. Watching from afar as the brand grows into a giant, seeing the pop-ups and collaborations come to life on the streets of LA, feels like a profound, full-circle moment. I’m here now, pursuing my Master’s and my own dreams, realizing that the girl I was at 21 was just the beginning of the woman I am becoming.
